Title: “Jatadhara” — A Confused Blend of Myth and Horror That Misses the Mark
Story:
Shiva (Sudheer Babu) roams haunted places to capture paranormal activities but never succeeds. One shocking revelation about his parents’ identity sends him on a mysterious journey connected to a cursed village named Rudraram. As he uncovers the truth about his birth and faces a demonic entity, the story unfolds into a mix of spiritual mystery and chaos.
Review:
Positives:
The only saving grace of Jatadhara is its production design and a few visually striking moments during the Shiva Tandavam sequence. The idea of merging spirituality and supernatural themes had potential on paper.
Negatives:
Unfortunately, the film fails miserably in execution. The story feels aimless, the romance track is abrupt, and the screenplay is inconsistent. Poor writing, weak characterization, and amateurish direction make it difficult to stay engaged. Even Sudheer Babu’s efforts can’t save the lifeless narrative.
Conclusion:
Jatadhara tries to blend divinity and horror but ends up as a disoriented, dull drama. Despite a strong concept, the poor writing and uninspired direction turn it into a forgettable experience.
Our Rating: 1.5/5
