Start ups like Kineto are making it possible for anyone to build apps using AI, without needing coding experience. Kineto’s platform runs entirely in the browser, allowing users to create, test, and refine apps simply by describing them. Users can share their apps via links, while the system’s AI agents handle tasks like image creation, testing, and bug fixing.

Andrew Zakonov, founder of Kineto, says that building simple apps currently takes an hour or two and multiple iterations, but future improvements may reduce this to half an hour. Kineto’s higher-tier plans target content creators like YouTubers, offering more storage, AI credits, and published projects for interactive courses. While simple apps like typing tutors or flashcard tools are easy to make, more complex apps still require iterative testing and specialised AI assistance.

Experts like Jules Goldberg, founder of Reviva Softworks, acknowledge the creative potential of AI tools but caution that AI-generated apps may not become mainstream. According to him, humans prefer convenience, and simple apps created by AI may lose commercial value. Established apps continue to have a market advantage due to depth, research, and marketing reach.
