The founder of the movie piracy website iBomma has been arrested by Hyderabad police. Officials detained him shortly after he arrived by flight on Friday, according to Cyber Crime and KPHB police sources.
Preliminary findings suggest that he had been operating the iBomma platform from a Caribbean nation and reportedly earned over ₹3 crore through illegal streaming activities.
The arrest comes after repeated complaints from filmmakers about unauthorized uploads of their movies on the site. Police confirmed that a deeper investigation is underway to identify additional links and financial trails connected to the piracy network.
