The much-awaited Raja Saab, starring Prabhas and directed by Maruthi, produced by People Media Factory, is gearing up for a grand Sankranti release. Though speculations were rife about a possible delay due to extensive CG (Computer Graphics) work, insiders have now confirmed that the team is fully confident of meeting the festival deadline.
Reports reveal that the movie features over 6,000 CG shots, making it one of the biggest visual effects projects in Indian cinema. A top international VFX company is handling a major portion of the work, while People Media’s in-house studio and another partner firm are jointly managing the rest. If required, the production team is planning to onboard a couple more studios to ensure timely delivery.
Currently, around 300 shots are being delivered daily, and director Maruthi’s team is meticulously reviewing, editing, and performing quality checks round the clock.
Producers are determined not to miss the Sankranti release date, even if it requires 24/7 work schedules and engaging additional teams.
Meanwhile, an OTT deal for the film is also in its final stages. The agreement is ready, but the producers are awaiting the closure of a related financial partnership before officially signing the streaming deal.
