The film Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead role, is witnessing massive box office success across India. The movie is reportedly close to the ₹1000 crore milestone, drawing significant attention from both audiences and the film industry.
Amid this success, a controversy has emerged online. Some individuals from Pakistan have claimed that certain locations shown in the film belong to their region. They allege that the filmmakers earned substantial profits by showcasing their area as a backdrop.
Through social media videos, they are demanding a share of the movie’s earnings, ranging from 50 to 80 percent, or alternatively requesting the construction of at least one hospital in their locality. These videos have gone viral, triggering widespread debate.
Despite restrictions and bans related to the film, the demand for a share in its revenue has become a talking point, as people argue over the ethics of profiting from regional backdrops. The film’s team has not yet issued an official statement on the matter.
